An Eastern Ukrainian town exhausted by the war has a safe shelter for children temporarily separated from their parents. A House Made of Splinters tells the stories of three children waiting for their fate to be decided: whether they will return to their old homes or move to new ones. Meanwhile, selfless social workers give moments of joy and calm to the children, bringing them back to their childhood that has almost been lost.
