Izolyatsia is a documentary film about a factory producing insulation materials in Donetsk that, after the collapse of the Soviet Union, was transformed into a renowned contemporary art center. Following the Russian occupation of Donetsk in 2014, it was turned into one of the most notorious torture sites in the occupied territories of Ukraine.

Combining archival footage with testimonies from former prisoners, including Stanislav Aseyev, Lyudmyla Huseinova, and other witnesses, the film traces the transformation of a cultural space into a system of violence and dehumanization. The film shows how Izolyatsia became not only a site of crimes against Ukrainians, but also a symbol of the machinery of terror employed by Russia in the occupied territories.
