THE COMPETITION FOR THE MOST ACTIVE FILM CLUB
The Department for Development of Docudays UA human rights media education film clubs announces a Сompetition for the most active DOCU/CLUB 2020. Read more about the terms, regulations, rewards, and join.

The expert commission will select three winners in 2 categories:

 

The first category includes DOCU/CLUBs at:


schools, colleges, lyceums, camps, higher educational institutions, public organizations, charitable foundations and organizations, hubs, libraries, museums, and free secondary legal aid centers.


The second category includes DOCU/CLUBs at:


the educational institutions of the State penitentiary service of Ukraine, the State Institution "Probation Center", penitentiary institutions of the State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine.


The purpose of the Competition: to increase the level of activity among directors, moderators and members of Docudays UA human rights media education film clubs by establishing сompetitive atmosphere within the Network and encouraging the best film clubs.


Contest participants: permanent Docudays UA human rights media education film clubs.


Terms of the Competition: to take part in the competition, a representative of DOCU/CLUB should submit Google form available at the link by 31 July 2020.


The competition will be held between 1 August 1 and 31 December 2020, inclusive.


The Competition Commission will select the winners according to the following criteria:

The number of screenings.

Timely reporting after the event.

Involvement of experts.

Introduction of the new techniques during the events (the implementation of methodical materials, the exercises from scenarios, presentation and slides).

Participation in Docudays UA information campaigns (screenshots of posts on social media, posting information on your website, and in the local media increase the chances for a win).

Participation in the Network surveys (at least once a quarter).

Attracting a new audience (photos, posters, ads, screenshots of events or posts increase the chances for a win).

Winners announcement schedule:


During January, the Competition Commission will select the winners in each category.


Awards ceremony:


The awards ceremony will take place in March at the Docudays UA International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival during the annual film club conference.


The most active film clubs will receive certificates to cover the price of necessary equipment for film screenings in the amount equivalent to 255 euros. Moderators of the most active film clubs will have the opportunity to share experiences and creative practices with conference participants.


Winners’ stories and achievements will be published on the Docudays UA International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival Network website, all-Ukrainian media, and social networks.
